Lilien Systems Announces New Reseller Partner Agreements with Seagate and Basho for Object Storage Solutions

Recent reseller agreements extend relationship and services for delivering reliable solutions for on-premises or private cloud enterprise customers

SAN FRANCISCO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lilien Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sysorex Global Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:SYRX), today announced new strategic reseller partner agreements with Seagate Technology’s Cloud Systems and Solutions and Basho Technologies to address the emerging and growing market of object storage solutions, which IDC Marketscape estimates to be a $21.7 billion market by 2017. We believe the combination of technologies and services from Basho, Seagate and Lilien, respectively, form a synergistic foundation for delivering highly reliable, massively scalable object storage solutions and professional services to enterprise customers. Forthcoming object storage solutions resulting from the partnership will target on-premises or private cloud environments for medium to large enterprises.

“Lilien is very proud to be a reseller of technology and services for Seagate and Basho,” said Dhruv Gulati, executive vice president, Lilien Systems. “We believe these relationships will substantially grow our already successful Big Data/Analytics and Private Cloud practices with our commercial and federal clientele.”

Seagate recently announced it is extending its market position as a trusted partner in storing, protecting and sharing data by going beyond its strong disk drive business to deliver cloud systems and solutions for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and “do-it-yourself” (DIY) cloud service providers. “We are pleased to extend our relationship with Lilien Systems as a reseller for all Seagate Cloud Systems and Solutions products and services, further enabling organizations to manage the massive growth in digital data and deliver on next generation workloads at costs aligned with their business needs,” said David Flesh, vice president of marketing, Seagate Cloud Systems and Solutions.

Riak CS (Cloud Storage) is easy-to-use object storage software built on top of Riak, Basho’s popular distributed database. Riak CS is designed to provide simple, available, distributed cloud storage at any scale, and can be used to build cloud architectures, both public and private, or as storage infrastructure for heavy-duty applications and services. “Lilien is a leader in helping enterprises tackle their big data and private cloud challenges and is the perfect go to market partner for us,” said Adam Wray, CEO, Basho Technologies. “The combination of our technology partnership with Seagate forms the foundation for building private cloud object storage.”

Seagate and Lilien are also proud to be sponsors of RICON 2014, the leading distributed systems technology conference, hosted annually by Basho. This year’s event will be held at the Palms hotel in Las Vegas on October 27 – 29th. Visit http://www.ricon.io for more information.
