MAPLE LAWN, Md.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Inpixon Corporation, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Inpixon Global Holdings Corp. (NASDAQ:SYRX), today announced it has been named “Superstar Company of the Year” by the Howard Tech Council (HTC), a Washington, D.C.-area organization that works in conjunction with the State of Maryland’s Center for Entrepreneurship and the Howard County Economic Development Authority to foster and advance technology firms in the state’s self-styled “Cyber and Technology Center” just north of the nation’s capital. Inpixon, which develops systems that provide mobile device security and services based on where a smartphone or tablet is located, beat out numerous other competitors to be recognized as one of the region’s leaders in technological innovation.

“Inpixon really is a great community partner and the kind of business we want to attract and help grow in Howard County”

“This award is a tremendous honor,” said Inpixon CEO, Cleve Adams. “This region is a hotbed for new technology and innovation, and some of the things our fellow companies are doing are truly amazing. Knowing that, it makes being named ‘Superstar of the Year’ all the more special,” he said.

Inpixon’s passion for technology, especially mobile technology, is felt strongly around its headquarters in Maple Lawn, MD. In support of its solutions and leadership in both location-based services as well as mobile security, Howard County Executive and Lieutenant Governor candidate, Ken Ulman, attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of Inpixon’s newest office in March. A week later, Mr. Ulman cited Inpixon as an example of innovative businesses during his State of the County address.

”We are really proud to honor the work of CEO Cleve Adams and the team at Inpixon during the upcoming HTC Tech Awards,” said Howard Tech Council Executive Director Patrick Wynn. “They faced some tough competition, but in the final analysis Inpixon stood out as a true superstar in the Howard County tech community.”

“Inpixon really is a great community partner and the kind of business we want to attract and help grow in Howard County,” said Howard County Economic Development Authority CEO Lawrence F. Twele. “We believe the company’s continued success will help to deliver new jobs in the region and support our efforts to be the center of cyber security in Maryland.”

The award ceremony will be held on May 28, 2014 during the Annual HTC Tech Awards held at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab’s Kossiakoff Center in Maryland. Six other companies will also be given various awards: Light Point Security, Triea Systems, Vheda Health, Vasoptic Medical, Advancing Synergy, and Quark Security.
